Adopting modern trends in agricultural research stressed

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) Regional Director Colleges Fazal Hadi called on the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University Professor Dr. Latif Gondal, and congratulated him on assuming his new position here on Monday.

According to the university spokesman, during the meeting, both officials held detailed discussions on improving the quality of higher education, strengthening linkages between educational institutions, and adopting modern trends in agricultural research.

They agreed that enhanced institutional collaboration was essential for educational development in the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Fazal Hadi expressed confidence that under the leadership of Professor Dr. Latif Gondal, the university would not only improve academic standards but also open new avenues in research and innovation.

He added that stronger coordination between colleges and the university would provide better educational opportunities for students.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Latif Gondal thanked him for the congratulations and stated that his top priority is to transform the university into a model institution for education and research.

He emphasized that practical steps would be taken to align agricultural education with modern requirements and to ensure that research benefits reach farmers.

Both sides also highlighted the importance of joint planning, seminars, and research activities to further enhance students’ capabilities.
