Agricultural reforms stressed

broadcasted, focusing on agricultural education, research, food security and the future of agriculture

in Pakistan. The guest of the program was Professor Dr. Ijaz Rasool Noorka, Principal, College of Agriculture, University of Sargodha.

During the discussion, Prof Dr Noorka highlighted the role of the College of Agriculture in promoting agricultural education, scientific research and innovation. He stated that the institution is committed to providing quality education and preparing graduates capable of addressing the challenges of modern agriculture.

He informed listeners that the College of Agriculture offers not only BS degree programs but also MS/MPhil and PhD programs, providing extensive opportunities for advanced education and research. Prof Dr Noorka identified climate change, water scarcity, sustainable land management, food security concerns and technological adaptation as major challenges facing Pakistan's agriculture sector. He emphasized that research-based agriculture is essential for sustainable development and long-term food security.
