LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) Adviser to the Chief Minister Punjab on Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives Ali Dar on Wednesday said the Punjab government was working to integrate locally developed Large Language Models (LLMs) into the education system to provide students with world-class AI-powered learning opportunities.
He expressed these views during a meeting with the AXI team, which was also attended by Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat. The meeting reviewed various proposals for the effective use of Artificial Intelligence in education and discussed the integration of locally developed AI solutions into educational institutions across the province.
Speaking on the occasion, Ali Dar said that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the province was being transformed into an AI-enabled and knowledge-driven economy.

He said the use of locally developed AI models would enable personalised and effective learning support tailored to students’ individual needs, making education more accessible, efficient and outcome-oriented. He added that Artificial Intelligence could significantly enhance students’ research capabilities, creativity and problem-solving skills.
Ali Dar said the adoption of modern technologies in educational institutions would usher in a new era of digital learning in Punjab. He noted that students would gain access to quality educational content in their own language and local context, while AI-driven reforms would help bridge the educational divide between urban and rural areas.
