Aimal terms martyrdom of Maulana Idrees extremely tragic

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) President Awami National Party (ANP), Aimal Wali Khan on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Maulana Idrees, calling it a highly tragic incident.

He said the situation reflects worsening law and order conditions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that the entire province feels unsafe today.

He remarked that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is once again falling into the grip of insecurity, with a noticeable rise in target killings.

Aimal Wali Khan further said the martyrdom of Maulana Idrees is clear evidence of deteriorating peace in the province.

He shared that he had a personal relationship with the deceased and expressed heartfelt condolences.

He emphasized that incidents of terrorism and targeted killings are becoming routine in the province, adding practical steps on part of the provincial government are need of the hour to restore peace and security.
