AIOU announces admissions for autumn 2026 semester

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jul, 2026) Regional Director Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Sargodha Nasreen Akhtar Mirza

on Thursday announced the commencement of admissions for the Autumn 2026 semester,

offering a wide range of academic programs from Matriculation to PhD levels.

Talking to APP, she urged aspiring students to submit their applications before the stipulated

deadlines to secure their enrollment in the upcoming academic session.

She said that the university was offering admissions in Matric, FA, I.Com, DAE, Associate

Degree, BA, BS, B.Ed, Post Graduate Diploma, MA, MSc, M.Phil, and PhD programs, alongside

various short courses and professional certifications designed to enhance the

vocational skills of the youth.

Highlighting the technological advancements, Nasreen Akhtar Mirza stated that the admission

process had been simplified through the AIOU Official mobile App, allowing students to complete

online registration, upload documents, and deposit fees from their homes.

She emphasized that this digital facility was particularly beneficial for students residing in the

remote areas of the Sargodha division, working professionals, and female candidates.

The Regional Director further informed that the last date for admission in Matric, FA, I.Com, DAE, Associate Degree, BA, and BS programs is August 10, 2026, while for MA, MSc, M.Phil, and PhD programs, the deadline is August 24, 2026.

She added that the Regional Office in Sargodha was fully operational to provide guidance and assistance to the applicants, reaffirming the university's mission to provide quality distance education and equal learning opportunities to individuals of all ages across the country.
