MIRPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) An Agriculture Conference aimed at boosting per-acre productivity and modernizing the farming sector in Azad Jammu and Kashmir will be held in the state capital on April 22, officials said on Monday.

Organized by the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, the day-long event is designed to promote agricultural development through modern technology, strengthen the livestock sector, and provide farmers with a practical platform to engage with experts and stakeholders.

According to officials, the conference will feature a wide range of activities including agricultural and veterinary stalls, horse and cattle shows, bird and pet exhibitions, food stalls, cultural performances, a police band display, children’s activities, and a Gatka demonstration.

Special stalls by the Pakistan Army will also be part of the event, expected to attract public attention.

Agriculture and livestock experts will deliver guidance sessions on modern farming methods, animal care, and productivity enhancement. Officials said the initiative is expected to help farmers adopt scientific techniques, improve output, and contribute to rural economic development, making the conference a key step toward long-term agricultural uplift in the region.
