AJK EC appoints registration officers for electoral rolls revision in Murree

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission has appointed District Election Commissioner Murree, Rizwana Latif, as Registration Officer to ensure effective revision of electoral rolls for the General Elections 2026.

A meeting of the Revision Authority was held at the District Election Commission Office Murree to review arrangements for the exercise. The participants discussed measures to ensure the process is completed in a transparent, comprehensive and timely manner.

During the meeting, Javed Akbar Satti, Headmaster Government Sufi Abdul Aziz High school Kotli Sattian, was appointed as Assistant Registration Officer (ARO) for Tehsil Kotli Sattian.

Shahab Ahmed Qureshi, education Officer Government Boys High School Murree, was appointed as ARO for Tehsil Murree.

Officials informed that the revision of electoral rolls will continue till April 7.

Rizwana Latif urged migrants of AJK residing in district Murree to contact the concerned Assistant Registration Officers, in line with the schedule, for registration, transfer or deletion of their votes.

The meeting reaffirmed commitment to complete the process within the stipulated timeframe to ensure enrolment of all eligible voters and transparency in the electoral process.
