AJK PM hails Pakistan’s growing mediation role as moment of national pride

MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) Prime Minister, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore on Thursday said the world is witnessing Pakistan’s growing role in mediation, calling it a moment of pride for the nation.

He stated that Pakistan’s role in the current war scenario was vital, and credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the relevant government ministries, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for upholding the national flag at the international level.

He expressed these views while addressing a condolence reference held in memory of former Executive Director and senior dental surgeon at Jinnah Dental Hospital Muzaffarabad, Dr. Abdul Haleem Khan. The event was organized by the administration of Jinnah Dental Hospital.

Rathore said a strong and well-equipped army guarantees Pakistan’s stability, tranquility, and sovereignty. He added that when political forces lose the confidence of the masses, action committees tend to take their place, emphasizing that true leadership passes on a vision for national development and raises public awareness.

Paying tribute to the late Dr. Abdul Haleem Khan, the AJK prime minister said his services would be remembered for a long time. He noted that he had longstanding family relations with the deceased and described him as a kind and gentle person who always helped those in need.

He further stated that the PC-1 of Jinnah Dental Hospital is nearly complete and pledged to make every effort to allocate a budget for the project before leaving office. He also shared that his government is launching a beautification project for the capital city and aims to break ground soon, highlighting its potential long-term impact despite limited time.

AJK Minister for Health Syed Bazal Ali Naqvi, MLA Khawaja Farooq, Chairman Public Accounts Committee Abdul Majid Khan, MLA Zia Qamar, and Director General Health Sardar Aftab Khan also addressed the reference.
