Aleem Khan welcomes Iran-US talks in Islamabad, lauds leadership’s efforts

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan on Friday welcomed the commencement of negotiations between Iran and the United States in Islamabad, terming it a positive development for global peace.

He extended a warm welcome to the US Vice President and the Iranian leadership on their arrival in Pakistan, stating that Islamabad has become the center of global political attention, reflecting Pakistan’s effective and balanced diplomacy.

In his message on X, the minister said that due to the excellent leadership and successful diplomatic strategy of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan’s role was being appreciated worldwide.

He also commended the efforts of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, stating that these collective efforts were further strengthening Pakistan’s positive image. Aleem Khan condemned ongoing conflicts around the globe, emphasizing that peace was the only path to progress and prosperity.

He added that Pakistan had practically proven itself as a flag bearer of global peace and is playing a key role in ensuring regional stability. He expressed the hope that a message of peace and stability would emanate from Islamabad to the entire world. Abdul Aleem Khan further hoped that the ongoing negotiations would conclude successfully and yield positive outcomes.
