The Punjab government’s decision to shutter schools from March 10 to March 31, 2026, has triggered a fierce standoff. Their stance is clear: either reopen the schools for graduating classes or announce a delay in the Matric exams 2026 to compensate for the lost time.

“A country with more holidays than study days cannot progress,” Khan noted, echoing the frustration of thousands of parents currently navigating the school closure notification chaos.
