All arrangements finalized to keep division clean on Eid: Commissioner

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Divisional Commissioner Madam Musarrat Jabeen said that the divisional and district administrations along with Suthra Punjab Agency have finalized all arrangements to maintain cleanliness across Faisalabad division during Eid-ul-Azha.

She said that waste management workers in all four districts of the division would collect offal and remains of sacrificial animals door-to-door and ensure their proper disposal outside city limits in an environmentally safe manner.

She said that comprehensive cleanliness operations had also been completed at Eidgahs, mosques, parks and other open places designated for Eid-ul-Azha prayers, adding that mosques and Eidgahs had been washed and perfumed with phenyl and rose water to provide a clean and pleasant environment for worshippers.

She appealed the citizens to cooperate with sanitation workers during Eid days and avoid throwing animal waste into open places, canals, sewerage lines and drains.

She also urged people to hand over sacrificial remains to the designated waste workers so that a hygienic and clean atmosphere could be maintained throughout the division.

She said that the citizens’ complaints during Eid holidays would be addressed promptly, adding that control rooms had been activated in all four districts while the entire administrative machinery would remain operational in the field round the clock.

She said that a special monitoring mechanism had also been devised to supervise cleanliness operations and ensure effective implementation of the Eid sanitation plan in urban and rural areas alike.

The divisional commissioner also extended Eid-ul-Azha greetings to the Muslim community and said that the religious festival conveyed the message of sacrifice, compassion and social responsibility.

She urged the citizens to especially care for the underprivileged and play their role in maintaining cleanliness, reminding that “cleanliness is half of faith”.
