Amb Qureshi pays tribute to Pakistan leadership, forces as 1st anniversary of Marka-e-Haq observed

BRUSSELS, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels held a dignified commemorative ceremony to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq – Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, reaffirming the nation's unwavering commitment to its security and sovereignty.

The event was attended by a large number of the Pakistani diaspora from across Belgium and Luxembourg, including prominent business leaders, students, and media representatives.

Commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, the ceremony was followed by the screening of a special documentary highlighting the significance of Marka-e-Haq.

In his remarks, Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg Rahim Hayat Qureshi paid rich tribute to the visionary leadership of Pakistan, the valor of Pakistani Armed Forces, the resilience of the Pakistani people, and the vital role played by media organizations.

Ambassador Qureshi paid profound homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defense of the homeland.

He emphasized that the strength of the nation was rooted in unity and collective resolve—values that remain essential to Pakistan’s ongoing progress and stability.

The ambassador also commended the Pakistani diaspora for their constructive role in projecting a positive image of Pakistan abroad and strengthening people-to-people ties.

The event concluded with a special prayer for the martyrs and for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan.
