ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, has underscored Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic role in promoting regional peace and stability, particularly its efforts in facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran.

Addressing students at Moscow Polytechnic University, the ambassador delivered a lecture focusing on Pakistan-Russia bilateral relations and the rapidly evolving situation in the middle East, said a press release issued here on Thursday.

He highlighted Pakistan’s long-standing commitment to regional stability and emphasized its constructive role as a facilitator of peaceful dialogue in complex geopolitical situations.

The lecture was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session, during which Ambassador Tirmizi shared detailed insights on key geopolitical issues and Pakistan’s foreign policy.

Later, the ambassador also met with Vice Rector for International Cooperation, Yulia Davydova, to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation, specifically focusing on strategies to increase the enrollment of Pakistani students at the university.

Both sides expressed a strong commitment to expanding academic cooperation and creating new opportunities for student and faculty exchange.
