Amir Muqam chairs farewell meeting for GB caretaker government

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jul, 2026) Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan & SAFRON, Engr Amir Muqam, chaired a farewell meeting held in honour of the caretaker government of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (R) Yar Muhammad Khan and members of the caretaker cabinet attended the meeting, said a press release.

Addressing the meeting, Federal Minister Engr Amir Muqam commended the overall performance of the caretaker government, stating that the caretaker setup had discharged its constitutional responsibilities in an exemplary manner and played a key role in ensuring transparent, peaceful, and well-organized administrative affairs.

The minister also lauded the honesty and integrity of the former chief minister and cabinet members.

He appreciated the cabinet members for the peaceful conduct of elections in Gilgit-Baltistan and expressed hope that they would continue to serve the region in future endeavors as well.

Paying tribute to the services of Caretaker Chief Minister and all cabinet members, he extended his best wishes to them.

Speaking on the occasion, Yar Muhammad Khan thanked the federal government, particularly Federal Minister Engr Amir Muqam, for their cooperation.

He said the caretaker government made every effort to fulfill its responsibilities in accordance with the public interest and constitutional requirements.

The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, where the Federal Minister conveyed his best wishes and hopes for the future success of the caretaker government members.
