ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Amir Muqam held an important meeting with a delegation led by Senator Dr. Hafiz Abdul Karim, chief of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan to discuss the overall political situation in the country, the upcoming elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, and matters of mutual political cooperation.
During the meeting, Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan announced its full support for Pakistan Muslim League (N) in the forthcoming Gilgit-Baltistan elections. The party also declared the withdrawal of its candidate from GBA-22 Ghanche-1 in favor of the PML-Nawaz candidate, said a news release issued here on Thursday.
Both sides agreed to further strengthen political coordination and electoral cooperation in Gilgit-Baltistan.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The delegation included Sheikh Ali Muhammad Abu Turab, Malik Suleman Mangla, Gilgit-Baltistan candidate Raza-ul-Haq, and Dr. Muhammad Ali Johar, Director of Jamia Islamia Skardu.
After the meeting, Senator Dr. Hafiz Abdul Karim described the discussions as highly positive and significant. He said unity among religious and political forces was essential for political and national stability, adding that Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan would fully support PML-N in the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan elections.
Muqam thanked the Senator and his party leadership for their support, saying that Pakistan Muslim League-N highly values the cooperation of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan. He reaffirmed the commitment of both parties to work together for the development, prosperity, and welfare of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
