Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan shared a cryptic update about his health, revealing that he underwent surgery and spent time in the ICU. The veteran actor described the experience as feeling like "defeat." Taking to his Tumblr blog, the Bollywood icon shared a health update with followers. "In the hospital, in a surgery and in the ICU, under the care of proficient doctors and medical staff," Bachchan wrote. He also detailed the emotional and physical toll the experience had taken on him. "This homecoming period is the most difficult phase, physically, psychologically, and practically," he said. Further, the actor reflected on confronting adversity, writing that everyone coped with difficult moments differently and that there was no right or wrong way to face them. "You are a revered champion and one day a defeat stares at you. This is the most difficult phase of your life. Some brave it, some succumb. Those that strive and be brave ever remain champions, those that do not, get reconciled and live, exist in the past glory; a choice each makes individually," Bachchan wrote. The actor concluded his post on a hopeful note, writing, "Nothing wrong by either. Be well, be happy." Bachchan is known for sharing daily reflections on his Tumblr blog. He often posts regarding personal experiences, updating followers with life challenges and his opinions on topics ranging from cinema to sports. While the actor did not clarify whether he was still in the hospital or had returned home, his post prompted concern among fans, especially as he posted pictures of himself greeting fans outside his residence just a day earlier. On the career front, Bachchan is set to reprise his role as Ashwatthama in Nag Ashwin's sequel to Kalki 2898 AD and could return as Guruji in Brahmastra Part Two: Dev. Most recently, the actor featured in a Telugu historical drama, Vettaiyan, and in the legal drama Section 84.
