AMUOBA hosts Eid Milan at Sir Syed Tower

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jun, 2026) A grand and vibrant Eid Milan ceremony was organized at Sir Syed Tower under the auspices of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association (AMUOBA), which was attended by Chancellor SSUET Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan, Erum Akbar Ali Khan, Dr Jafar Nazir Usmani, Senior Alig, Engr. Adil Usman, Mohsin Hassan Khan, Mukhtar Naqvi, Masood Alam, Prof Dr Afzal Haque, Cdre (R) Syed Sarfraz Ali, Prof Dr Muhammad Aamir, Engr Hassan Zaki and a large number of Aligarians and SSUET Alumni.

Expressing his joy on the occasion, Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan, President of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association and Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET), said that the Eid Milan ceremony reminds us of the values that symbolize unity, solidarity and brotherhood, and brings the Aligarh community together in a purposeful and meaningful way.

Erum Akbar Ali Khan, Chairperson of the Zakir Ali Khan Foundation, Dr Jafar Nazir Usmani, Honorary Secretary General of AMUOBA and others also spoke on the occasion.

The event featured cultural performances, including a heartfelt poem recited by Prof Dr Muhammad Amir, contemporary poetry by Dr Waleej Haider, and selected urdu poetry by Hassan Zaki, all of which were well-received by attendees.
