RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2026) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted six operations in different cities of the country on Friday and arrested 10 suspects, including three women, and recovered 14.845 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs 2.1 million.
According to an ANF spokesperson, several operations were carried out near educational institutions as part of an
anti-drug campaign targeting narcotics supply networks.
In an operation near a university in Rawalpindi, ANF recovered 745 grams of methamphetamine, commonly known as “ice”, from a vehicle and arrested three suspects.
In another operation near Ring Road in Peshawar, 500 grams of ice were seized from a woman, who was taken into custody.
Similarly, six kilograms of hashish was recovered from a vehicle near Islamabad Toll Plaza and arrested a suspect.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The ANF spokesperson said in the preliminary investigation, the arrested suspects had confessed to supplying drugs to students of various academic institutions.
Meanwhile, during separate domestic interdiction operations, ANF recovered four kilograms of ice from the possession of two women near a hotel in Saranan district of Pishin.
In another raid near Attock, 2.4 kilograms of hashish was confiscated from a vehicle and two suspects were arrested.
Whereas, 1.2 kilograms of hashish was recovered from an accused near Railway Line Road in Peshawar.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA) 1997, while further investigations are underway.
