ANF arrests 8 suspects, seizes over 79kg of narcotics in nationwide operations

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2026) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted eight operations across the country and arrested 8 suspects and seized 79.154 kilograMS(kgs) of narcotics worth more than Rs 6.8 million, an ANF spokesman said on Monday.

During two operations at Islamabad International Airport, ANF recovered 3.2 kgs of crystal meth (ice) concealed in the lining of a travel bag and inside a pair of shoes from the luggage of a passenger bound for Jeddah and arrested the suspect. In a separate operation, 1.124 kgs of ice was recovered from the luggage of a passenger travelling to Kuwait, who was also taken into custody.

In Quetta, ANF recovered 18 kgs of hashish from a vehicle near Khizai Chowk and arrested the suspect.

In another operation near Jabal Noor, officials seized 12 kgs of hashish from the possession of an individual.

Near Shikarpur Road in Sukkur, ANF recovered 22.8 kgs of hashish concealed in a drum being carried by a passenger.

In Peshawar, officials seized 3 kgs of hashish from a motorcyclist near University Road.

At the Sialkot bus terminal, ANF arrested two suspects and recovered 630 grams of hashish and 400 grams of ice from their possession.

In Karachi, 18 kgs of hashish concealed in a parcel was recovered during an operation at a courier office.

Cases have been registered against all the accused under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations were underway.
