ANF arrests nine suspects, seizes nearly 50 kg of drugs in nationwide operations

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested nine suspects and seized nearly 50 kilograms of narcotics worth more than 8.7 million rupees in four operations carried out across multiple cities, here on Friday.

According to an ANF spokesperson, in an operation near the Motorway Toll Plaza in Islamabad, authorities intercepted a vehicle and recovered 28.8 kg of hashish and 500 grams of methamphetamine, commonly known as “ice”, arresting two individuals.

Separately, three suspects riding a motorcycle were apprehended near Bhedian Kalan in Sheikhupura, where 10 kg of hashish was seized from their possession.

In Karachi, an individual was detained near Sohrab Goth with 6 kg of hashish, the spokesperson said.

In an inter-provincial operation, ANF officials recovered 4.4 kg of heroin from a vehicle near the Kala Shah Kaku Toll Plaza in Lahore, arresting three suspects.

Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, the spokesperson said, adding that further investigations were underway.
