ANF arrests nine suspects, seizes over 356 kg drugs in nationwide operations

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Thursday conducted six operations in different cities across Pakistan, arresting nine suspects and recovering 356.8 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs30.3 million.

According to an ANF spokesperson, 60 kilograms of hashish were seized from two vehicles near a hotel in the Yaru area of Pishin district, where three suspects were arrested. In another operation near Custom Chowk in Peshawar, authorities recovered 1.2 kilograms of hashish from an accused.

ANF also recovered 120 kilograms of hashish near Shaks Road in Khyber district during a separate raid.

In inter-provincial operations, officials seized 168 kilograms of hashish from two vehicles near Jamshoro Toll Plaza and arrested two individuals.

Near Sher Shah Toll Plaza in Multan, ANF recovered four kilograms of ice from a suspect, while another operation near Sahianwala Interchange in Faisalabad led to the recovery of two kilograms of heroin and 1.6 kilograms of ice from a vehicle. Two suspects were arrested in that case.

Cases have been registered against the accused under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway.
