RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) The National Immunisation Days (NID) campaign for April 2026 was inaugurated at MNHC Rehmatabad, with the participation of Assistant Commissioner Saddar, Deputy District Health Officer Rawalpindi and representatives of Rotary Club Islamabad.
The campaign, scheduled from April 13 to 16, aims to vaccinate all children under five years of age against polio. A special prayer was offered on the occasion for the eradication of polio from Pakistan, while children were administered polio drops at the centre.
Speaking on the occasion, officials directed field teams to ensure that all eligible children are vaccinated, stressing the importance of the “Reaching Every Child” strategy. They emphasized that no child should be left unvaccinated and called for coordinated efforts to make the campaign successful. The Health and Population Department, Government of Punjab, reiterated its commitment to eradicating polio through sustained vaccination drives in collaboration with district administration and partner organisations.
