KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi’s school of Visual and Performing Arts has presented the theatre play “Can We Talk?” marking the first installment of its Alumni Series. The Alumni Series by the School of Visual and Performing Arts aims to stage 8 to 10 theatre productions annually, all directed by alumni of the institution.
The theater play Can We Talk was performed in urdu and is adapted from The Zoo Story by American playwright Edward Albee. The play “Can We Talk” was directed by Muhammad Sufi Ghous. The cast included Arman Sami, Farhan Rahim, Ayaz Ali, Waleed Khan, and Azaib Khan, all of whom received strong appreciation from the audience for their performances.
The story revolves around an unexpected conversation between two individuals navigating loneliness, identity, and the complexities of human connection. It explores the hidden anxiety and inner turmoil masked by silence. Alongside this narrative, a solitary developer is depicted creating a digital world while searching for answers to the invisible barriers between people.
The theatre production, which began on April 17, 2026, will continue until April 19, 2026, with daily shows at 8:00 PM. The performances are being held at Studio Upstairs, Third Floor, Ahmed Shah building.
