ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) On the joyous and blessed occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the leadership of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Azad Kashmir and Pakistan Chapter extended heartfelt Eid greetings to the Muslim Ummah worldwide, the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat detainees, political activists, and the families of the martyrs of Kashmir.

In a joint statement, the Hurriyat leaders including Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, General Secretary Advocate Parvez Ahmad Shah, Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, and other senior leaders, said that Eid-ul-Adha is not merely a religious festival, but a profound symbol of sacrifice, loyalty, piety, obedience to Allah, and unwavering devotion. They described the unparalleled sacrifices of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS) as a timeless example for the Muslim Ummah, teaching humanity that true faith demands sacrifices in the pursuit of truth, justice, dignity, and the defense of oppressed people.

The leaders stated that the people of Kashmir have been rendering immense sacrifices for decades in their struggle for the fundamental right to self-determination, freedom, dignity, and justice.

They emphasized that the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha serves as a renewed pledge to continue the Kashmir freedom movement at every level until it reaches its logical and legitimate conclusion.

The APHC leadership appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir not to forget those suffering under oppression, siege, poverty, imprisonment, and humanitarian hardships during the Eid celebrations.

They particularly urged the public to remember the families of martyrs, widows, orphaned children, persons with disabilities, destitute families, and the relatives of detained Hurriyat leaders in their prayers, compassion, and practical support.

Paying tribute to the sacrifices, resilience, and steadfastness of imprisoned Hurriyat leaders, political detainees, and pro-freedom activists, the statement said, “We will never forget the great sacrifices of our imprisoned leaders and activists.

The Hurriyat leaders also extended Eid greetings to the people of Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan, political and religious parties, social organizations, and the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. They expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s continued political, diplomatic, moral, and public support for the Kashmir freedom movement.

The statement further noted, “Pakistan’s consistent, principled, and unwavering support remains a source of hope, strength, and encouragement for the people of Kashmir. The Kashmiri nation values this eternal bond and prays for even stronger ties of brotherhood, affection, and trust between Pakistan and Kashmir.”

The APHC leadership called upon the Muslim world, international human rights organizations, and the global community to view the Kashmir issue not merely as a regional dispute, but as a serious humanitarian, moral, and political issue.

They urged the international community to actively support the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and play an effective role in ensuring lasting peace, justice, and human dignity in the region.

The Hurriyat leadership prayed, “May Almighty Allah bless the Muslim Ummah with unity, brotherhood, patience, and the true spirit of sacrifice, grant oppressed nations freedom from tyranny and oppression, lead the Kashmir freedom movement to success, and usher in an era of peace, justice, freedom, and human dignity in Jammu and Kashmir.”
