ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Apr, 2026) Senior leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Azad Kashmir and Pakistan chapter Convenor Ghulam Mohammad Safi, General Secretary Advocate Parvez Ahmed, and Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt expressed profound grief on Monday over the death of the mother of jailed APHC leader and former CBR Housing Society president Zafar Akbar Butt in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, hailing her as a paragon of piety whose family has long sacrificed for Kashmir's freedom struggle.

In a joint statement, the leaders described the deceased as a woman of exemplary character, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to prayer and fasting. She devoted her life to piety, patience, and service to humanity, upholding a dignified family legacy while raising her household with high moral standards.

They highlighted the family's historic sacrifices for the Kashmir freedom movement, portraying it as a living emblem of steadfastness and courage that has boldly confronted countless adversities in pursuit of self-determination.

The APHC leadership stood in full solidarity with the bereaved family, declaring the loss a shared tragedy.

They affirmed that such resilient families form the true bedrock of the freedom struggle, vowing their sacrifices would never go in vain. Prayers were offered for the departed soul's elevation in divine ranks, forgiveness of shortcomings, and a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.

The leaders also sought Allah's strength for the family, especially Muhammad Altaf Butt and the imprisoned Zafar Akbar Butt, to endure this irreparable loss with patience and resolve.
