Arid University closed till April 26

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2026) Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), has announced the closure of its main campus and affiliated institutes within the territorial jurisdiction of Rawalpindi from April 18 to April 26 due to security arrangements.

According to an official notification issued by the university administration, the decision was taken by the competent authority in consultation with deans and directors to ensure necessary security measures.

The notification stated that academic activities will continue through online mode during the closure period as per the prescribed timetable.

It further said that, following directions of the local administration, all students residing in university hostels have been directed to vacate the hostels immediately and ensure strict compliance with the instructions.

All university employees, including officers, teachers and staff, will perform their duties from home during the period, while essential services staff will remain available as per requirement, the notification added.
