Arid University organizes commemorative walk to honor Armed Forces, Marka-e-Haq success

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) held a commemorative walk to celebrate the success of Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, while paying tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and martyrs.

The event, organized under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman, saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members, administrative officers, students, and university employees. Participants expressed strong solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman praised the armed forces for their exemplary courage, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty against all threats.

He paid rich tribute to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, for his visionary leadership and strategic acumen during Marka-e-Haq.

''Under the courageous and strategic leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the nation witnessed unprecedented unity, resilience, and determination.

His exceptional leadership skills and effective military diplomacy are receiving outstanding international recognition,'' said Prof Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman.

The Vice Chancellor emphasized that the entire Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces and takes immense pride in their sacrifices. He also stressed the crucial role of educational institutions in promoting patriotism, national unity, and grooming youth as responsible citizens committed to Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.

A flag hoisting ceremony was also held, followed by special prayers for the peace, prosperity, and security of Pakistan, and for the eternal peace of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the motherland.

The event reflected the deep respect and gratitude of academia towards the armed forces and reinforced the spirit of national solidarity.
