Armed robbers loot policeman’s house in Chiniot

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st May, 2026) Rising incidents of theft and robbery in Chiniot and its adjoining areas have sparked concern among residents, with armed criminals now targeting even law enforcement personnel. In a latest incident, robbers on Sunday looted the house of a police constable and escaped with cash, jewelry and official equipment.

According to Langrana police, Constable Muhammad Adnan returned home after completing his duty and found five armed robbers attempting to break into his house. The suspects held him at gunpoint and snatched his official repeater set, mobile phone and Rs 5,000 in cash.

The robbers also entered the house and made off with valuables, including 10 tolas of gold jewelry, five tolas of silver anklets and Rs 200,000 in cash. According to the FIR, the stolen gold ornaments comprised two rings, a pair of earrings, a necklace, a bracelet and a decorative belt.

Langrana police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Police officials said a special team has been constituted to trace and arrest the culprits, expressing confidence that those involved in the robbery would be brought to justice soon.
