LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jun, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday sentenced two accused, allegedly linked to
a proscribed organisation, to five years' rigorous imprisonment each in separate cases
involving the recovery of explosive material.
ATC Judge Malik Abid Hussain announced the verdict and also ordered the confiscation
of the convicts' properties in favour of the state. The accused, Abdul Baith and Kaleem Ullah,
were produced before the court from jail when the judgment was announced.
During the trial, Prosecutor Mian Tufail argued that explosive material had been recovered
from the possession of the accused and that they were allegedly involved in terrorist activities
while maintaining links with a proscribed organisation.

found both accused guilty in their respective cases and awarded them five years' rigorous
imprisonment each.
According to the prosecution, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Lahore, had registered
separate cases against the two accused in 2025 over the recovery of explosive material and
subsequently submitted the challans before the court.
