ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has expressed displeasure over the continuous non-appearance of co-accused Chaudhry Pervez Elahi in the Judicial Complex attack case against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and others, with the associate counsel assuring the court of Elahi's presence on the next hearing.
Judge Tahir Abbas Supra heard the case. An application seeking exemption from personal appearance was filed on behalf of former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi. The judge expressed anger, stating that Pervez Elahi appears everywhere but falls ill when it comes to appearing before this court.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>"What is the reason that Pervez Elahi does not appear before our court? I will constitute a medical board to determine whether Pervez Elahi is actually ill or not," the judge remarked.
The associate counsel requested the court to grant one more opportunity and assured that Pervez Elahi will appear on the next hearing. Accepting the counsel's assurance, the court adjourned the case until July 22.
A case has been registered against PTI leaders at CTD Police Station.
