ATC extends interim bail of Aleema, Uzma Khan in Oct 5 protest case

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday extended the interim bail of PTI founder’s sisters Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan till June 11 in a case related to alleged violence against police during the October 5 PTI protest

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday extended the interim bail of PTI founder’s sisters Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan till June 11 in a case related to alleged violence against police during the October 5 PTI protest.

ATC Judge Manzer Ali Gill conducted the hearing. Aleema Khan did not appear before the court after the expiry of her interim bail, while Uzma Khan attended the proceedings and marked her attendance.

Counsel for Aleema Khan filed an application seeking one-day exemption from appearance, stating that she was in Islamabad to pursue legal matters concerning the PTI founder.

The court accepted the plea and granted her exemption.

The court directed the prosecution to produce the case record at the next hearing and also instructed the state counsel to complete arguments on the bail petitions.

According to the prosecution, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan are accused of inciting PTI workers to stage violent protests. Both sisters have filed interim bail petitions in a case registered at Shafiqabad police station.
