ATC extends interim bail of Musarrat, Jamshed Cheema till July 9 in May 9 cases

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday extended the interim bail of PTI leaders Musarrat Jamshed Cheema and Jamshed Iqbal Cheema till July 9 in eight cases related to the May 9 riots, including the attacks on Jinnah House and Askari Tower.

Musarrat Jamshed Cheema and Jamshed Iqbal Cheema appeared before the court after the expiry of their interim bail period to mark their attendance.

ATC Judge Manzer Ali Gill presided over the hearing. The court had previously directed investigators to complete the investigation against Musarrat Jamshed Cheema.

Musarrat Jamshed Cheema has sought interim bail in eight cases, while Jamshed Iqbal Cheema has filed interim bail petitions in four cases.

The accused are facing cases related to the alleged attacks on Askari Tower and Jinnah House, as well as other incidents linked to the May 9 unrest.
