ATC extends interim bail of PTI leaders, workers till July 9 in six May 9 cases

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday extended the interim bail of several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and workers until July 9 in six cases related to the May 9 riots, including allegations of setting a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) office on fire and burning containers at Kalma Chowk.

ATC Judge Malik Abid Hussain heard the bail petitions and directed the defence counsel to complete their arguments on the applications at the next hearing.

PTI founder's sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, appeared before the court, while former Federal ministers Fawad Chaudhry and Asad Umar also attended the proceedings to mark their attendance.

Other accused, including Azam Swati, likewise appeared before the court.

Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan, Asad Umar, Azam Swati, Jamshed Iqbal Cheema, Musarrat Jamshed Cheema, Hafiz Farhat Abbas, Bilal Ejaz, Rai Hassan Nawaz, Ali Imtiaz Warraich, Muhammad Ahmad Chattha, Muhammad Ashraf Sohna, Rai Murtaza Iqbal and several co-accused have sought interim bail in the cases.
