LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Jun, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday extended the judicial remand of three accused by 14 days in a kidnapping-for-ransom case registered at Johar Town Police Station.
The accused — Khadim Hussain, Zahid and Muneeb — were produced before the court from jail upon the expiry of their previous judicial remand.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>During the hearing, police requested an extension in the judicial remand of the suspects, informing the court that preparation of the challan was still in progress and further time was required to complete the legal formalities.
After hearing the arguments, ATC Judge Malik Abid Hussain approved a 14-day extension in the judicial remand of all three accused.
According to the prosecution, the suspects allegedly abducted a citizen and demanded Rs1 million in ransom for his release. A case was registered against them under the relevant provisions of law at Johar Town Police Station.
