An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday granted a 17-day physical remand of Ahsan Elahi, a worker of proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), in connection with case pertaining to arson, vandalism and violent protest

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Jun, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday granted a 17-day physical remand of Ahsan Elahi, a worker of proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), in connection with case pertaining to arson, vandalism and violent protest.

The accused was produced before the court by police after his arrest in FIR No. 11135/25 registered at Kahna Police Station.

During the hearing, the investigating officer sought a 30-day physical remand, arguing that the suspect had remained a proclaimed offender for a considerable period and that further custody was required to complete the investigation.

He further stated that Ahsan Elahi participated in a violent protest on Ferozepur Road near Central Park. The investigating officer informed the court that the protesters were armed with sticks and batons and were involved in vandalism and acts of arson.

He alleged that the accused, along with other activists, damaged public and private property and raised slogans against state institutions during the protest.

After hearing the arguments, ATC Judge Malik Abid Hussain approved a 17-day physical remand of the accused and directed police to produce him before the court again on June 22.
