ATC sentences man to five-year jail in explosives case

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday sentenced a man to five years rigorous imprisonment in a case involving the recovery of explosive materials.

ATC Judge Manzer Ali Gill announced the verdict, convicting the accused, Atlas Khan, after the charges were proven.

The court also ordered the confiscation of all properties of the convict in favour of the state.

According to the prosecution, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sheikhupura had recovered explosive materials from the possession of the accused and stated that he was associated with a banned outfit and involved in terrorist activities.

The CTD had registered the case against Atlas Khan in 2025 and later submitted the challan before the court.
