ATH installs modern water filtration plants to ensure safe drinking water

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH) on Tuesday installed modern water filtration plants to provide clean, safe, and quality drinking water to patients, attendants, hospital staff, and visitors, hospital officials said on Tuesday.

According to the hospital administration, the initiative was part of ongoing efforts to improve not only healthcare services but also essential public facilities within the hospital premises.

Officials said the hospital previously lacked water filtration systems that met modern standards, making the provision of safe drinking water a pressing need.

Acting on the vision and directives of the board of Governors, Hospital Director Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Afridi and his team successfully completed the project.

The newly installed filtration plants were expected to significantly improve access to clean drinking water and contribute to better hygiene and public health standards across the hospital.

Hospital authorities stated that public welfare and the provision of quality services remain their foremost priorities, adding that similar projects aimed at improving facilities for patients and visitors would continue in the future.
