- Attock intensifies anti-dengue drive as officials directed to ensure strict implementation

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) In a decisive and well-coordinated move, a high-level meeting on Thursday to review the dengue prevention campaign was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Attock under the chairmanship of Rao Atif Raza. The meeting assessed ongoing efforts; moreover, officials emphasized the urgent need for proactive measures.
The session was attended by key health and administrative officials, including Dr. Jawad Elahi, Dr. Kashif Hussain, and Dr. Talib Hussain, along with education officers and DDHOs. During the briefing, officials detailed ongoing and planned preventive measures; meanwhile, they highlighted progress achieved so far. In addition, representatives from various departments shared updates on field activities and community outreach initiatives.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza directed all departments to actively and effectively participate in ensuring the campaign’s success. He stressed that district and tehsil administrations, government institutions, and particularly the Health Department must work collectively; furthermore, strict adherence to dengue prevention SOPs is essential. Therefore, performance is being closely monitored through a third-party evaluation system, with regular reports submitted to higher authorities, he added.
He further instructed departments to enhance public awareness campaigns and urged citizens to responsibly maintain clean and dry surroundings to prevent mosquito breeding.
