Attock police arrest key robbery suspect, recover Rs 500,000

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Attock police have arrested a key suspect in a robbery case on Friday and recovered a large portion of the stolen money.

According to the complaint filed on March 28, 2026, a woman in Jand reported that four unidentified men broke into her house, stole her earrings, and took Rs. 850,000 in cash. Acting on the report, SHO Police Station Jand, Inspector Gulfraz Ahmed, led an operation that resulted in the arrest of the main suspect, identified as Fakhar son of Yaqoob, a resident of Chapri, Tehsil Jand.

During the arrest, police recovered Rs. 500,000 from the suspect. Authorities are continuing investigations to track down the remaining accomplices and recover the rest of the stolen amount.

DPO Attock, Sardar Moawan Khan, praised the police team for their swift action and reaffirmed that ensuring the safety of citizens and their property remains a top priority, with continued crackdowns on criminal activity.
