ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Apr, 2026) In a landmark, highly successful, and decisive anti-narcotics operation, Attock Police on Monday foiled a major smuggling attempt and recovered over 142 kilograms of narcotics, arresting three alleged smugglers. Moreover, the haul, including charas and opium, was intended for distribution across various districts of Punjab, authorities said.
Meanwhile, the operation was conducted under the direct supervision of District Police Officer Sardar Mavarhan Khan, with SDPO Hazro Circle and SHO Attock Khurd, Inspector Muhammad Naeem, leading the on-ground efforts. During routine checking at Search Park picket, a JAC Shehzor Dala (registration CAU-2107) was stopped, and a detailed search revealed narcotics cleverly concealed inside 12 sacks of dry bread.
The seized consignment included 120 kilograms of charas and 22.8 kilograms of opium, totaling more than 142 kilograms. The arrested suspects were identified as Wajahat Ali Khan of Islamabad, Muhammad Zeeshan of Talagang, and Zain-ul-Abideen of Mansehra. Furthermore, preliminary interrogation revealed that the narcotics were destined for multiple districts in Punjab.
Therefore, a case (No. 103 dated April 6, 2026) under sections 9(1)3E and 9(1)5F of the Control of Narcotic Substances Act has been registered at Attock Khurd Police Station, with further investigation underway. DPO Sardar Mavarhan Khan emphasized that bringing to justice those who poison society remains a top, urgent, and non-negotiable priority for Attock Police.
