Attock police foil major narcotics smuggling bid, two arrested

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2026) Attock Police intercepted a passenger van on GT Road near Attock Khurd, recovering 7kg of hashish and 1.1kg of ice hidden in the vehicle. Two smugglers, Noman and Umer from Nowshera, were arrested.

The duo, part of an inter-provincial narcotics smuggling racket, were disguised as scrap dealers.

They were attempting to transport the narcotics from KP to Punjab.

According to APP correspondent, the haul is worth millions, and police have registered a case under Section 9-C of the Control of Narcotics Substance Act 1997. Further investigation is underway.

The operation highlights Attock Police's efforts to combat narcotics smuggling.
