Attock police net three proclaimed offenders in decisive crackdown

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) In a coordinated and effective crackdown, Attock police have successfully arrested three proclaimed offenders in separate operations across the district, officials confirmed on Wednesday. The operations were carried out swiftly; moreover, authorities described them as part of an ongoing drive to curb crime and apprehend absconders. Consequently, law enforcement agencies have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring public safety.

According to a police spokesperson, a Category “A” proclaimed offender, Rehan Ahmed—an alleged robber and resident of Haripur—was apprehended by a police team within Attock limits. He had been evading arrest for several months in a robbery case registered earlier this year; however, police managed to trace and arrest him through diligent efforts. Meanwhile, another operation conducted in Hassan Abdal led to the arrest of Muhammad Khan, a resident of Afghanistan, who was also wanted in a 2025 robbery case.

In a separate yet related development, Rango Police Station arrested proclaimed offender Ibrahim Shah, a resident of Nartopa in Hazro, who was wanted in a cheque dishonour case. The arrest was executed efficiently, and officials stated that the suspect had been avoiding legal proceedings for a considerable period. Furthermore, the police team acted promptly to secure his custody without resistance.

Police officials stated that all three accused are currently in custody; therefore, further investigation is underway to uncover additional details related to the cases. Additionally, authorities emphasized that such targeted operations will continue relentlessly to eliminate crime and bring offenders to justice.
