ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) In a decisive and well-coordinated move, a key meeting to review preparations for the upcoming anti-polio campaign was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Attock under the chairmanship of Rao Atif Raza. The meeting focused on ensuring a safe, efficient, and comprehensive vaccination drive; moreover, officials stressed the urgent need for full public cooperation.
The session was attended by top health and administrative officials, including Dr. Jawad Elahi, Dr. Kashif Hussain, Dr. Talib Hussain, Assistant Commissioners, and representatives of the World Health Organization. During the briefing, participants were informed that the campaign will be conducted from April 13 to April 16, targeting over 300,000 children under the age of five across the district.
Comprehensive arrangements have been finalized to guarantee maximum coverage. Polio teams will be stationed at all entry and exit points of the district; meanwhile, mobile teams will conduct door-to-door vaccination to reach children in every neighborhood. Additionally, foolproof security measures have been arranged to ensure that the campaign is carried out safely and effectively, without disruption.
Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza urged parents and the public to fully cooperate with health officials and ensure that every child under five receives polio drops. He emphasized that collective efforts and vigilance are essential to making the drive a success, ultimately contributing to the eradication of polio in the region.
