Attock reviews disability employment quota, calls for full enforcement of reserved positions

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) The district administration on Thursday reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the rights of persons with disabilities during a high-level meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Attock, Anil Saeed, at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. The meeting, attended by officers from various government departments, reviewed the implementation of the employment quota reserved for persons with disabilities as well as matters concerning daily-wage employees.

Officials briefed the meeting in detail on the current status of the disability quota across government departments and highlighted issues related to daily-wage workers. Reviewing departmental performance, Anil Saeed directed all concerned authorities to ensure strict compliance with the Government of Punjab’s policy on disability inclusion and to fully implement the prescribed employment quota without delay.

He emphasized that the legitimate rights of persons with disabilities must be protected at all levels, warning that negligence or shortcomings in the implementation of reserved quotas would not be tolerated. He instructed relevant officers to take proactive measures to promote the welfare of persons with disabilities and provide them with equal opportunities for employment and professional growth.

Anil Saeed stated that the Punjab Government is pursuing practical initiatives to integrate persons with disabilities into the social and economic mainstream, enabling them to become active and productive members of society. The meeting also reviewed related administrative matters and discussed future strategies to strengthen the implementation of disability-friendly policies and improve institutional compliance across government departments.
