Attock reviews Suthra Punjab drive, calls for stronger sanitation and public service delivery

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) District authorities on Thursday reviewed the progress of cleanliness and sanitation initiatives under the Suthra Punjab Program during a high-level meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. The meeting, chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) and Managing Director Suthra Punjab Program, Anil Saeed, examined ongoing operations across Attock district and its tehsils, with a particular focus on improving sanitation standards and service delivery.

During the session, officials from relevant departments presented detailed briefings on the implementation of various cleanliness projects, waste management activities, and operational challenges. Anil Saeed assessed the performance of ongoing initiatives and stressed the importance of maintaining efficient and citizen-focused services throughout the district.

Emphasizing the Punjab Government’s vision, he said that providing residents with a clean, healthy, and hygienic environment remained a top administrative priority. He directed field teams to intensify sanitation efforts, ensure the timely removal of waste, and prevent the accumulation of garbage in both urban and rural areas. He also underscored the need for swift redressal of public complaints and enhanced monitoring mechanisms to ensure accountability and improved performance.

The meeting concluded with a review of future plans under the Suthra Punjab Program, as officials reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cleanliness measures and delivering better municipal services to the public across District Attock.
