AUP, PRCS KP sign MoU to promote humanitarian cooperation

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) The University of Agriculture Peshawar (AUP)and the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening humanitarian services, institutional collaboration, knowledge sharing, and capacity-building in areas of mutual interest.

The MoU signing ceremony was organized by the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Agriculture Peshawar.

Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Sarzamin Khan, and Chairman PRCS KP, Farzand Ali Khan Wazir, signed the agreement.

The MoU provides a comprehensive framework for cooperation between the two institutions to promote humanitarian initiatives, institutional partnerships, exchange of expertise, and joint activities for the benefit of society.

Dr. Sarzamin Khan said the agreement would yield far-reaching results. He highlighted the contributions of the university’s graduates at provincial, national, and international levels in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and other sectors.

Chairman PRCS KP Farzand Ali Khan Wazir thanked the Vice Chancellor, ORIC Director, and other university officials for their cooperation and support.

The focal persons for the agreement, ORIC Director Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arif and PRCS KP Secretary Abid Rehman Marwat, also signed the MoU.

Among those present at the ceremony were Director Vice Chancellor Secretariat Majid Khan, Assistant Director ORIC Marakh Qasim, and PRCS KP Assistant Directors Samreen Afridi and Ayaz Ali, along with other officials.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sarzamin Khan presented a university shield to Farzand Ali Khan Wazir.
