Aus Vs Pak ODI match arrangements reviewed in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the upcoming one-day match of the Australian cricket team scheduled to be held here on May 30.

The meeting reviewed in detail security, traffic management, sanitation, parking, emergency services and facilities for cricket fans.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Maliha Sehar, Assistant Commissioner (Sadar) Hakim Khan, police officials and officers of relevant departments attended the meeting.

Officials of the concerned departments briefed the meeting on their preparedness and arrangements, expressing commitment to ensure foolproof security and effective administrative measures during the match.

The deputy commissioner directed all departments to work in coordination to ensure convenience for spectators, smooth flow of traffic and maintenance of law and order in the city.

He said the international match was an important occasion for Rawalpindi and no negligence in arrangements would be tolerated.

The Australia cricket team was due to Pakistan for a three ODIs series with Pakistan starting from 30th May.

The tour will start by playing its first ODI in Rawalpindi.
