SANGHAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2026) An awareness rally was organised at Shahdadpur Institute of Medical Sciences (SAMS) Hospital as part of the week-long activities being held in connection with World Hepatitis Day under the Sindh government’s “Hepatitis-Free Sindh” programme.
The rally was led by SAMS Hospital Director Dr Bashir Ahmed Jamali and attended by Additional Medical Superintendent (AMS) Dr Khair-un-Nisa Pathan, Dr Parvez Ahmed Abro, Dr Agha Mehtab, Dr Asad Chhutto, doctors, medical staff and other participants.
The participants carried banners and placards inscribed with messages highlighting preventive measures, early diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Addressing the participants, speakers said that hepatitis was a serious disease but it was not incurable. They stressed that timely diagnosis, proper treatment and adoption of precautionary measures could help control the spread of the disease.
They said the Sindh government was providing free treatment facilities to hepatitis patients, while all necessary diagnostic and treatment facilities were also available free of cost at SAMS Hospital Shahdadpur.
The speakers urged people to get vaccinated against hepatitis and adopt precautionary measures to protect themselves and their families from the disease.
