MIRPUR (AJK) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 3rd Apr, 2026) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister (PM) Faisal Mumtaz Rathore asserted on Friday that efforts were underway to make institutional reforms, governance, and public service mechanisms more effective across the liberated territory.

The PM expressed these views while while talking to a delegation of prominent political and social personalities from Mirpur district that called on him at JK House, APP AJK correspondent reported on Friday.

?Speaking on this occasion, Rathore said that the government would continue to acknowledge and encourage officers and competent individuals who have shown outstanding commitment to public service, the sources said.

'The government always values the services of officers who discharge their duties with honesty and integrity," the PM said, adding that Raja Irfan Saleem was among those who demonstrated a high level of integrity and a strong sense of duty throughout his long tenure in the police service.

?"It is recognition of his unprecedented services that he was promoted to the post of DIG after retirement," he remarked.

?He said that the state institutions were being further strengthened by strictly observing the principles of merit and transparency at all levels.

?"Strengthening state institutions and promoting honest, dedicated, and competent individuals is a key component of his government’s policy," the PM added.

?Expressing his profound gratitude to the delegation, the prime minister said that the government attaches great importance to the views of public representatives, social leaders, and various segments of society.

? The delegation specially thanked the Prime Minister for promoting Raja Irfan Saleem to the post of DIG after retirement.

?Members of the delegation expressed confidence in the leadership of the prime minister and appreciated the steps taken by the government.
