Azma Bukhari condoles death of musician Tariq Tafu

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) Punjab Information and Culture Minister Azma Bukhari on Tuesday expressed sorrow over the passing of musician and singer Tariq Tafu.

In her condolence message issued here, she said that Tariq Tafu was a prominent figure in the world of music.

"Tariq Tafu earned widespread recognition through his talent and contributions to music," said Azma Bukhari.

She stated, "Tariq Tafu gained international fame through his legendary song 'Lahore Lahore Hai'."

Azma Bukhari said that Tariq Tafu introduced dozens of artists to the music industry.

The minister added, "We extend our heartfelt condolences to Tariq Tafu's family on his passing."

She further said that the void left by a great musician like Tariq Tafu can never truly be filled.
